How is your blog performing?

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

It is now 1 week since we added Google Analaytics to the blogs (maybe just under for some).
How have your blogs been performing? Above or below your expectations? Did you have any expectations? Do you think you will achieve your original goals? Are you setting new goals? How are you going to improve your visitor statistics (if you need to!)?

It would be great to get some feedback here.

For anyone that has WordPress but has not added Google Analaytics to assess visitor stats we have created a ‘How To…’ sheet

Congratulations to Laura - a bottle of red wine to enjoy for your efforts.

The decision came down to how you had taken in the points from the last session and were clearly trying to prmotoe your blog in a wide variety of places - particularly LinkedIn!!! Laura’s LinkedIn profile can be seen at http://www.linkedin.com/in/lauramcharrie and her blog can be seen at http://thehiddenedge.blogwessex.com/

Blogger of the month - what they are doing right.

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

At last night’s Blog seminar a prize was presented to the ‘Blogger of the month’: Desk Coach (Shirley Thompson)

The decision was based on number of posts, quality of posts (measured by number of people commenting) and general style. When analysing the posts from Shirley it was clear that they started in an article style (giving information) and ended with a question. It was agreed that this was a great way to stimulate thought and encourgae responses.

Well done Shirley - enjoy the wine!!

Blog Wessex gets started

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

Having had the launch meeting for the people involved, given them instructions for using the blogs to post articles and generally generating enthusiasm  - we then had technical issues that delayed the real launch of the blogs!! Hopefully this will not deter our intrepid bloggers and very soon there will be an abundance of blog entries across all 10 blogs for us to read, enjoy, reflect on and, if sufficiently moved, comment on and engage with the author.

Use the links to view the other blogs that are part of this project. The resources here should grow rapidly so feel free to return and find out more.
